To the Scumbag Contingent of England’s Fan Base

So, as often goes the story, England again suffer heartbreak at the hands of an elite national team, via a penalty shootout.

Just like Southgate in 1996, Beckham in 1998 & Ronaldo in 2006, I see some of you have picked out your scapegoats for what has been England’s best ever European Championships performance.

From the moment Donnarumma saved Bukayo Saka’s penalty, it was obvious that he, Marcus Rashford & Jadon Sancho were going to be blamed.

However, in a rare moment of observation, analysis & pattern-recognition for mouth-breathing troglodytes such as yourselves, you’ve realised that all three of those people are black!

As a result, you’ve not only delivered your anger with an overt streak of racist slurs, to the players directly on social media, it seems that some of you have decided that black people in general are somehow to blame for England not winning a football match.

Let’s set aside that football, contrary to popular belief, isn’t actually that important in the first place, or that there was nothing to actually be angry about, and focus on what you’re actually criticizing.

The fact is, there are a number among you that have never been in a pressure-filled situation in your lives. You will never know the gut-churning anxiety of knowing that you have one single action to perform, with the world watching, knowing the hopes & dreams of a nation could be riding on this one thing.

There are some among you – and deep down you know who you are – who wouldn’t have the guts to even step forward. Others still would be so stressed, they could barely kick the ball straight. Take a look back through your lives and ask yourself if you could do better & whether you’d be deserving of scorn for struggling with the pressure.

Yet you have the gall to be angry at three young men who volunteered to take on that pressure, knowing that they could have been put down the pecking order with a word.

The media plays their part too, stoking the flames by printing what morons like you want to read. Crying “England expects!!!” in one article or broadcast and tearing those involved down when those expectations aren’t met.

You and the media that riles you up, are scum. And now you’ve proven – not that it wasn’t obvious already – that you’re racist scum. It was fucking stupid when you idiots would vandalize German cars when we lost to Germany. Abusing black people because they happen to fall into the same general ethnic group as three guys who didn’t manage to put a ball in a net, is among the most ignorant, facile things I’ve ever witnessed.

How fucking stupid do you have to be for your brain to decide that’s a logical position to take? What about that makes any sense whatsoever? I mean, you do get that you’re the same ethnicity as Beckham, Southgate and Stuart Pearce, right? I guess you didn’t get mad at caucasians in general because they look like you, so the skin colour didn’t stand out?

You know what? We should’ve seen this coming. You ignorant motherfuckers were booing the kneeling gesture for Black Lives Matter. And no, we didn’t buy it when supposed representatives of the England supporters groups claimed “Naaaah mate! We int racist! It’s abaaht politics innit? We just wanna watch the game!”. Was it also “political” when you booed other countries’ national anthems?

Marcus Rashford has done more for society in his life so far than most of you ever will. That’s not political, that’s a good man using his profile to do good. I don’t give a shit how many penalties he misses, he’s earned a lifetime of respect for that alone.

What I am pleased to report is that when I see and hear the responses of MY family & friends back in England, they’re full of support for Saka, Sancho and Rashford and condemnation for your bullshit. Sadly that’s buried under the mountains of coverage your actions receive, giving the country you claim to passionately care about a bad name.

Of course, I’ve long held the belief that wankers like you would find other reasons to act like violent, abusive, racist fuckwits if Association Football had never been codified.

You know what? Don’t ever sing our national anthem, attend an England game or even so much as wear the shirt again. If I had my way, the police would track every single one of the social media accounts that’s indulging in this despicable behaviour and when they were done prosecuting you for harrassment and inciting racial hatred, you’d be banned from ever attending a football match again.

So on behalf of all genuine England fans and decent, normal human beings across the world: go fuck yourselves.
